The Real Deal on Specs
Let’s get into what makes this thing tick. It runs on 400V, which lets us pack a lot of power into a small space. That’s the whole point: you get a massive amount of heat density without a bulky footprint. The heater itself is just 300mm long and 10mm wide. It’s sized to slip into those cramped spots—like inside concentrator hoods or other tight enclosures where you need focused heat. At 2500W, this thing gets hot, fast. That’s the upside. But it also means you have to plan for it. The surrounding machinery needs to handle the heat. Think about your cooling and clearances from the start. High power in a tiny tube means high surface temps, and that’s something your nearby components will feel.
What’s Inside
The magic is in the design. We run a carbon fiber filament inside a quartz tube filled with halogen gas. This combo keeps the filament stable, even at extreme temperatures, so it doesn’t burn out prematurely. The halogen cycle helps maintain consistent heat output over its entire life, and the quartz body can take the shock of rapid temperature changes without cracking. The output is shortwave infrared, which means the energy goes right where you need it. It makes the response time almost instant, giving you better control. And we chose the R7s connector for a simple reason: it’s a reliable, compact two-pin system that makes mounting and wiring a breeze, even in a crowded assembly. It gives you a solid connection that reduces the risk of hot spots at the terminal.
Where It Shines
This heater is a go-to for replacing old units in industrial heating and drying equipment. It’s also perfect for plastic processing, where you need heat in one specific spot. Because it’s so compact, you can upgrade or redesign a machine without having to rework the entire footprint. Just keep in mind the trade-off. You get fast, intense heat, but you have to be smart about thermal management. Make sure you insulate the parts next to it properly. Match the lamp to the zone, make sure the voltage lines up, and use a holder and wiring that can handle the constant work. Do that, and you’ll get the reliable performance you need, with no surprises on the shop floor.
