The 265mm 800W Carbon Fiber Heat Lamp: Serious Heat, Small Package
We built this 265mm, 800W carbon fiber heat lamp for one reason: to pack a serious punch into a tight spot. It’s not some delicate household bulb. This is a workhorse, designed for industrial machines where space is at a premium, but the need for raw heat is absolute.
Let’s talk power, size, and how it all works.
At the heart of it is that 800W rating. That gives you a high concentration of heat, which means you can get serious output from a much smaller heating zone. No need to build a bigger machine just to get more heat. And the 265mm length? That was a deliberate choice. It slides right into the standard housings and reflectors you already have in your compact equipment. It’s a straight-up, drop-in upgrade for a lot of existing designs. When it comes to voltage, we’re all about practical choices. Running at a higher voltage keeps the current down. That means you can use thinner wires, put less stress on your connections, and cut down on energy lost as heat in the wiring itself. But it does mean your control circuit needs to be ready for that higher voltage, and your insulation has to be up to snuff. We design the lamp to work with the electrical systems you’re already running.
The build: what’s inside, and why it matters.
Inside, you’ve got a carbon fiber heating element, all tucked inside a quartz envelope. It’s a killer combo for one main reason: it can take the thermal shock. It heats up fast, and the resistance stays stable, even after thousands of on/off cycles. That’s a huge win—it’s easier on your power supply and keeps your process running on a consistent rhythm. The quartz envelope handles the extreme heat and lets the energy through. It doesn’t trap the heat inside; it blasts it out where you need it. And for getting it wired up, it uses an R7s base. This double-ended pin connection is a proven industrial standard. It locks in securely, keeps everything spaced correctly, and gives you a reliable connection every time. It’s simple to wire up on the shop floor, which is exactly what you want.
Where it shines: putting the heat right where you need it.
You’ll see this lamp in action wherever you need focused infrared heat. Think plastics processing, curing coatings, or sealing packaging. The combination of that compact 265mm size and 800W power lets you pinpoint the heat exactly where the work is happening. The payoff? Shorter warm-up times and a faster line speed. Now, here’s the real talk. Packing 800W into a small space means things around it are going to get hot. Plan ahead. Make sure you’ve got enough airflow or some shielding to protect nearby sensors, wiring, and controls. When you build this into your system, you’re getting predictable heat, performance you can count on, cycle after cycle, and a component that’s built to take the heat, day in and day out.
