Let’s Talk About the 640mm 2600W Carbon Fiber Lamp
When we sat down to build this lamp, we had one goal: speed. Specifically, we wanted something that hits its target temperature almost the second you flip the switch. Instead of sticking with those old-school metal coils, we went with a carbon fiber filament tucked inside a quartz envelope. Here is why that actually matters for your shop floor. Heat that actually penetrates Packing 2600W into a 640mm length creates a serious amount of concentrated heat. It’s intense. The cool thing about carbon fiber is that it doesn’t need to get as scorching hot as tungsten to do its job. Instead, it pushes out more medium-to-short wave infrared energy. In plain English? The heat sinks deeper into your material much faster. You aren’t just warming the surface; you’re getting through to the core. No sagging, no “hot spots” We used quartz glass because it can handle the shock of being turned on and off rapidly without cracking. But the real win is the carbon fiber itself. Metal alloys tend to sag or warp when they get pushed to the limit. Carbon fiber doesn’t do that. It stays straight. This means your heat stays evenly spread across the entire 640mm length. You won’t have to deal with those annoying “hot spots” that usually lead to uneven curing or ruined PET bottles. A few things to keep in mind Look, this is a powerful piece of kit, so you have to treat it right. First, make sure your power supply can actually handle a 2600W load. If your wiring is too thin or your voltage drops, you’re just wasting money because the lamp won’t hit its full potential. Also, give it some room to breathe. Because it puts out so much heat, you need proper venting. If you trap that heat around the ends of the quartz tube, you’ll probably burn out the seals way too soon. While you’re at it, double-check your reflectors. You want that energy hitting your workpiece, not soaking into your machine frame. Where this fits in If you’re running PET bottle blowing ovens or industrial drying lines, this is a direct swap. It cuts down your pre-heat times significantly. Since the filament reaches full power almost instantly, your cycle times drop. You spend less time waiting for the machine to warm up and more time actually producing parts.
